Nimbus v0.0.17-alpha

@syllogismos syllogismos released this 19 Oct 17:32

What's new

  • Memory, for macOS. Nimbus can keep a memory of what you and your agents do. It makes one thread for each task and shows what needs you, on a screen of its own. Memory is off until you turn it on in Settings > Memory. Read "About Memory" below first.
  • Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 replace the older Claude models in every model menu. A saved choice moves to the new model of the same line.
  • Optional Jev browser assistance. With a TypeSafe API key, Jev picks the target of each browser step. The main model still plans the task and checks the result. Turn it on in Settings > LLM Configuration > Jev browser assistance.
  • After the agent opens, switches or closes a tab, it now sees which tabs are open.
  • Fixed Claude requests that failed after the agent opened a page.
  • Switches in Settings are easier to read.

Security

These fixes are for every system. Please update.

  • A web page in a tab could send Nimbus requests that only the app itself may send. This is fixed.
  • Another program on your computer can no longer start Nimbus as plain Node or with a debugger to run its own code.
  • A crash report of the Memory engine no longer includes a copy of its memory.

About Memory

  • Memory records your browsing in Nimbus, and what you type, click and copy in its pages. It also reads the sessions of Codex and Claude Code, and the commits in the repositories where they work.
  • If you allow Accessibility, it also records what you do in other apps. It skips password fields, and the apps and sites on its never list. You can change the list in Settings > Memory.
  • Memory seals what you type, click and copy on this computer and keeps it for 30 days. Memory never gives it to an agent, a model or a log.
  • Notes each night are off by default. When you turn them on, Nimbus sends the record of a day, without what you typed, to the model that you choose.
  • Your agents can read your threads through a local server that you connect in Settings > Memory.
  • Memory is on macOS only for now. On Windows and Linux, Nimbus works as before, and Settings > Memory says "macOS only for now".
