LAITA 0.4.4

0.4.3 was never published to the browser, VS Code or LibreOffice stores, so if you are
updating from an earlier version, the 0.4.3 changes
arrive with this release too - among them LAITA for Collabora Online, and translation.

LibreOffice: long paragraphs are underlined in full

Only the first sentence of a paragraph ever got underlines, so long paragraphs looked
unchecked, and splitting them "fixed" it. Every sentence is underlined now.

LibreOffice: only what you edit is checked

Opening a document, or clicking into a paragraph to read it, no longer sends anything to
the model. A paragraph is checked when you change it.

LibreOffice: separate controls for the whole document and for as-you-type

Stop checking used to switch everything off, and the only way back was another check of
the whole document. There are now two independent switches, on the toolbar and in the
LAITA menu, each showing only the action that applies:

• Check the whole document (may take a while...) / Stop checking the whole document (framed ▶ / ■): one sweep.
• Check as you type / Stop checking as you type (plain ▶ / ■): the same setting as in
  the options.

With checking as you type off, the underlines already shown stay and their suggestions
can still be applied. Paragraphs you edit meanwhile are checked as soon as you switch it
back on.

Browser and VS Code: the same two switches

• Browser: the toolbar button has Check the whole field (may take a while…) / Stop
  checking the whole field and Check as you type / Stop checking as you type, each
  showing only the action that applies; the as-you-type switch is also in the right-click
  menu, and Alt+Shift+C now starts or stops the whole-field check. Stopping it keeps
  the highlights it had not re-checked yet - it used to wipe them.
• VS Code: Check the whole document (may take a while…) / Stop checking the whole
  document and Check as you type / Stop checking as you type, in the Command Palette
  and the status-bar menu, each offering only the applicable one. The status bar shows a
  pause mark while checking as you type is off.
• VS Code: a whole-document check no longer stops by itself after 90 seconds. The
  request timeout was applied to the whole run instead of to each request, so a long
  document was silently left half-checked. Stopping it on purpose now keeps the
  suggestions of the paragraphs it had not reached.

Chrome — download laita-chrome-0.4.4.zip, unzip it, then
chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked → the unzipped folder.
Or install from the Chrome Web Store.

Firefox — install from addons.mozilla.org.
laita-firefox-0.4.4.zip here is the unsigned package that was submitted;
Firefox will not install it directly.

VS Code — code --install-extension sylvaticus.laita, or download the .vsix
and use Install from VSIX….

LibreOffice — download laita-0.4.4.oxt and open it with Tools ▸ Extension Manager ▸ Add, or install it from extensions.libreoffice.org.
