New Features

  • NATS User Issuances
    • NATS User Issuances shows what has changed between revisions of a NATS User, and allows for revoking a particular issuance of a NATS User
    • NATS User Issuance Events shows who downloaded NATS User Credentials and when they were downloaded
    • NATS User Keys are now rotated when Account Signing keys are rotated, leading to better key hygiene
    • Deleting an Account Signing Key removes revocations for NATS Users that were issued by that Signing Key, leading to smaller Account JWTs
  • Programmatic Groups
    • Used to programmatically sign NATS Users directly from applications
    • Signing Key is only shown once on Creation and Rotation and should be synced to an external secrets store
  • Copy Users to different Groups, preserving configured permissions
  • Copy Scoped Groups, preserving configured permissions
  • Apply tags to Accounts and NATS Users, which is especially useful for Scoped Signing Key Template Functions
  • slim Docker Image
    • Should only be used when an external PostgreSQL Database has been configured
    • Ships with minimal dependencies and does not include a shell
    • Starting with version 1.3.0, append -slim to tag to get a specific version: docker pull registry.synadia.io/control-plane:1.3.0-slim
    • Use the slim tag to get the latest version: docker pull registry.synadia.io/control-plane:slim
