Features and Changes

  • Changed the file structure of the application: Everything should now reside within it's own folder which is much cleaner and easier to find your config files.
  • Automatically set the easyanticheat option in confg.ini: The script now automatically determines the EAC splash screen location on config generation.
  • Skips duplicate image: The script will now save a "last_used.txt" file which it uses to determine whether or not a image has already been picked the last run.

How to Update

This is not a direct update, there are extra steps involved to update to 3.0 from 2.1 and below.
It is recommended to follow the instructions for a new install on the README

For updating from 2.1 and below:

  1. In your game folder create a new folder called ImageSwapper
  2. Backup your config.ini!!!. I recommend just renaming it temporarily or creating a copy of it elsewhere.
  3. DELETE config.ini and run.bat. The script will now automatically generate these along with determining the EAC splash screen image location.
  4. Download the latest ImageSwapper.exe and place in the ImageSwapper folder instead of the root game folder.
  5. Manually run the exe to generate the config.ini and run.bat.
  6. Update your config.ini, you can copy over the same values for photos, exclusions, and options from your backup. Leave the easyanticheat option alone unless you want to manually update this.
  7. Modify your launch options in steam to point to the new folder. Replace run.bat %COMMAND% with ImageSwapper\run.bat %COMMAND%
  8. Attempt to run the game and verify the application is able to run.
