Summary

  • Adds ApiVersions v3 capability caching and producer leader connection reuse.
  • Evicts failed broker connections before retry.
  • Publishes matching kafrust-protocol v0.2.3 and kafrust v0.2.3.

Compatibility

  • Live Kafka Smoke run 31496965137 passed all 11 broker, security, ACL, KIP-848, and multi-broker failover jobs.
  • Fresh external project compiled published kafrust 0.2.3 with default and tls features.

Known limits

  • APIs remain pre-1.0; see docs/compatibility.md and docs/migration-from-rust-rdkafka.md.
  • docs.rs build availability may lag crates.io publication.
