Summary

  • Added typed classic consumer-group committed offset listing and administrative alteration through OffsetFetch v2 and OffsetCommit v2.
  • Added the admin_consumer_group_offsets example with readback verification.
  • Qualified the admin workflow across Kafka 3.7.2, 3.8.1, 3.9.1, 4.3.1, multi-broker, TLS, SASL_PLAINTEXT, and SASL_SSL/SCRAM profiles.
  • Updated the English and Korean README and rust-rdkafka migration guidance.

Breaking changes

  • None intended; the project remains pre-1.0.

Compatibility evidence

  • Live Kafka Smoke runs 31595485915 and 31597505667.
  • cargo package and fresh external default/tls projects passed.
  • docs.rs pages for kafrust 0.2.8 and kafrust-protocol 0.2.8 return HTTP 200.

Known limits

  • KIP-848 member-aware administrative offset semantics remain a separate qualification gate.
  • Coordinator-stop injection during other admin requests and workload-specific canary evidence remain open.
