ClickGraft 1.3.2 — updates that say whether they matter
Update notices now tell you whether they matter.
1.3.1 was a new icon, and everyone running ClickGraft was told about it in
exactly the voice a broken build would have got. That is how people learn to
ignore update notices, and then miss the one that counts.
From now on each release says which it is, and the notice reads accordingly:
- Optional — says outright that you don't need it, and the button is
"Get it anyway". Nothing about how the tool works has changed. - Recommended — worth having, with a line explaining why.
- Important — something is broken and updating will fix it. Reserved for
exactly that.
If a notice can't tell which it is, it says recommended rather than
downplaying itself. An update whose importance is unknown should never look
ignorable.
This release is itself optional. Nothing about building your Apple Silicon
copy has changed since 1.3.0. It only means the next notice you see will be
honest with you — which, if you'd rather not be nagged about icons, is the one
worth taking.
