@takwerx takwerx released this 27 Sep 23:29

Cursorwerx 0.2. How far the wheel zooms is now yours to choose.

What changed

  • A setting, Wheel zoom: how far the map zooms for one click of the wheel. Fine (10% a click), Gentle (15%, the default and 0.1's only speed), Medium (25%), Fast (40%), Very fast (60%). A notched mouse wheel usually wants Medium or Fast; a trackpad, Gentle.
  • Set it in the plugin's pane (tap the Cursorwerx icon in the toolbar, then Wheel zoom) or under ATAK's Settings > Tool Preferences > Specific Tool Preferences > Cursorwerx. Both change the same value, it applies at the next click, and it survives restarts, plugin updates and ATAK updates.
  • Everything else is as in 0.1: wheel zoom at the cursor, wheel scrolling in panes, click and drag to pan, clicks in text fields and web pages, a Back button, one cursor on emulators.

No network, no files, no permissions. The one setting is kept in ATAK's own preferences.

Cursorwerx 0.1

@takwerx takwerx released this 27 Sep 07:41

Cursorwerx 0.1, the first release. Makes ATAK behave for a mouse or a trackpad, on a desktop (the TAKwerx ATAK Terminal, Android Studio's emulator), on Samsung DeX or on a Chromebook. On a phone or tablet used with a finger it does nothing at all.

What it does

  • The scroll wheel zooms in and out at the cursor, one gentle step per click, paced for trackpads.
  • The wheel scrolls the pane, list or menu under the cursor, and never zooms the map behind it.
  • Click and drag pans the map 1:1; a click selects; a long press opens the radial menu. Things ATAK lets you drag still drag.
  • Clicks land in text fields, and in web pages inside plugin panes (an Esri sign-in, for example).
  • A Back button on the left edge of the screen, and the Escape key, are Back.
  • On an emulator, the guest's second pointer is hidden so there is one cursor.

Nothing to configure. Load it and it is working; unload it and ATAK is as it was. No network, no storage, no permissions.
