Hi, I'm Brown 👋

I'm a frontend developer in the making — self-taught, hands-on, and currently building my way out of a project management career into React development.

I spent years managing projects and teams before deciding to build things myself instead of just tracking them. So I taught myself to code — mostly through documentation, source code, and building real projects, not video courses — and I haven't looked back.

What I'm working with:

  • React (Create React App, React Router)
  • JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS
  • REST APIs (GitHub API, OMDB, OpenWeatherMap)
  • Git & GitHub

  • 🧠 SoulSpace — a mental wellness app with mood tracking, journaling, gamified habits, an AI companion chat, and a growth garden that visualizes your progress. (live demo)
  • 🎬 Movie Search App — search any movie or show and pull up detailed info via the OMDB API. (live demo)
  • 👨‍💻 GitHub Profile Finder — look up any GitHub profile and its top repos, wrapped in a Matrix-style UI. (live demo)
  • 🌦️ Weather App — real-time weather with animated backgrounds that shift with conditions. (live demo)
