Windows Binary Release

Download manuscript2slides-windows.zip below.

Installation

  1. Download and extract the ZIP file
  2. Run manuscript2slides.exe from the extracted folder
  3. Windows may show a security warning - click "More info" → "Run anyway"
  4. No Python installation required

Why a ZIP file instead of single EXE?

We switched from single-file to folder distribution to reduce false positives from Windows Defender and other antivirus software. This is a known issue with Python executables (more info).

To verify the download:

Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 manuscript2slides-windows.zip

Notes

  • This is an unsigned binary, so Windows SmartScreen may still warn you
  • The ZIP contains ~100MB of files including the full Python runtime
  • Tested on Windows 11
  • Keep all files in the extracted folder together - don't move just the .exe
