Checksums: the <asset>.sha256 sidecar next to every asset is the trust anchor (the tebako store's own sidecar shape, spec 00 §8); SHA256SUMS.txt carries the same lines as one derived convenience file.
Machine-readable package index: the <package>.manifest.json shard next to every package (one manifest entry each) is the authority; manifest.json is the shards' union as one derived convenience file. Both monoliths are regenerated from the shards by the publish's finalize pass, never merged by hand.
