Skillcrit audits installed AI agent skills for structural problems, duplicate instructions, conflicts, risky patterns, and estimated context costs. It runs locally and produces text, JSON, Markdown, SARIF, and GitHub Actions reports.

Version 0.5.2 aligns the CLI and plugin versions with a fresh, single-commit repository history. Application behavior is unchanged from 0.5.1.

Requires Node 22+. Install from npm:

npm install --global skillcrit@0.5.2 --ignore-scripts

The built package downloaded from npm matches the tested archive byte for byte. Fresh installation, lockfile reinstall, and all 19 controlled simulations passed. All seven CI jobs passed on the released main commit: Windows/macOS/Linux with Node 22/24, plus self-lint/SARIF. Windows runs 250 tests; POSIX passes 244 with six Windows-only skips. Dependency audit and secret scan reported no findings.

The attached .tgz is the built CLI package; GitHub's automatic source archives require a build. SHA256SUMS covers the other four attachments. See verification.json for exact source, archive identity, and validation evidence.

These are maintainer checks, not external adoption measurements. Historical native-client observations retain their tested versions; heuristics and unknown runtime selection remain documented.
