9 commits since v0.8.0. A new provider, a gateway diagnostic for the CLI, and fixes to the probe, image, and model-detail paths.

New

  • B.AI gateway (#918). OpenAI-compatible relay, registered as the bai platform. Its catalog row is a live-tested limited-time 0-credit promotion rather than a recurring free allowance, and the type declaration says so.
  • freellmapi doctor (#862). Proves a client's requests actually reach this gateway, computing the verdict in a process that sees what the client sees rather than trusting local config.
  • Outbound proxy Test button (#864). Verifies a proxy URL before you save it, so a bad value is caught at configuration time instead of on the next request.
  • Optional commit checklist hook (#860). Reads CONTRIBUTING.md at fire time and reminds a Claude Code agent to check its diff before committing. Nothing is wired up by default; opt in from your own settings file.

Fixed

  • Probe no longer fails on relays that enforce a max_tokens floor (#903). The probe pinned max_tokens: 1; relays requiring more than 2 rejected it with a 400, so a working endpoint was reported broken and kept its cooldown. Now 4.
  • Model-specific FLUX image payloads (#916).
  • Canonical model id on the model detail page (#725). The unified id, the one you put in a request body, is now a badge in the summary chips with a copy button, instead of being reachable only by hovering the Models table.
  • --model resolves against the unfiltered catalog before launching (#861).

Internal

  • Pure lib modules are now asserted never to gain a value import (#858).

CLI: freellmapi 0.4.0 on npm

cli/package.json had been at 0.3.0 since 2026-07-27, and the publish workflow only fires when that version changes, so doctor (#862) and the --model fix (#861) reached main but never npm. This release publishes them, with a signed provenance statement from GitHub Actions.

Install

Desktop installers are attached below. The macOS DMG is unsigned: right-click the app and choose Open the first time, since double-clicking will be refused. As a consequence macOS cannot auto-update; download a new DMG to upgrade.
