v2.3.0 - introducing Project Launcher
Summary
Implements the LocalWrap v2.3 project launcher upgrade.
This changes LocalWrap from a localhost-hosted server control panel into an Electron-only desktop launcher for saved local development projects. Projects can now store directory, command, port, URL, autostart, and open-on-ready settings, with process control, readiness tracking, and bounded live logs.
Key Changes
- Load the app UI with Electron
loadFile()instead of serving it from an Express localhost control server. - Add persisted project storage under Electron
userData. - Add project lifecycle management for start, stop, restart, readiness polling, log buffering, and process cleanup.
- Replace the old server control UI with a project dashboard.
- Add package script discovery for selected directories.
- Move privileged actions behind preload IPC only.
- Expand local URL validation to
http/httpslocalhost,127.0.0.1, and::1. - Remove no-longer-needed Express, Helmet, and rate-limit runtime dependencies.
- Update README, changelog, security docs, package metadata, CI, and Jest config.
