• feat (#3): report setup status to the herdr sidebar. The plugin publishes a setup workspace metadata token — setup: running before the steps, then setup: done or setup: failed — so a new worktree no longer looks ready while pnpm install is still running. Every status carries a TTL (5s for done, an hour for the others), so a killed setup leaves no permanently stale token. Reporting never changes setup's exit code, and repos with no matched steps publish nothing.
• fix: runCmd now returns res.error, so ENOENT and timeouts stop looking like exit 1.

Compatibility

• min_herdr_version: 0.7.0 — unchanged. Older herdr keeps working; the status report just logs a warning.
• Displaying the status needs herdr 0.7.4+, where workspace report-metadata and $name sidebar tokens landed.

Showing the status

One-time opt-in in ~/.config/herdr/config.toml — merge $setup into your own rows rather than replacing them:
