Drive Bridge v0.1.2

Drive Bridge 0.1.2 fixes closed-file rename on Windows SFTP attachments when used with ShellCanvas 0.1.6.

• Read-only metadata and rename operations no longer acquire an unnecessary remote data-read handle that can block the operation itself.
• Data and writable-metadata access retain stable provider handles.
• Includes the corrected dependency license notices.

Verified locally with the optimized release executable: native WinFsp file operations, metadata, copies, mapped files, failure preservation, detach and transport loss. A real Windows-host SFTP check passed closed-file rename/delete, independently verified byte transfers, sharing refusals and cleanup. Local privileged whole-volume flushing was excluded; release CI runs native Windows acceptance on its disposable runner.

Accepted limitations: simultaneous readers/writers and renaming an open file can still fail through Windows SFTP, even where local Windows sharing flags permit them. Legitimate Windows sharing restrictions remain respected. No remote helper, custom SSH server or lock-bypassing workaround is used. Future upstream changes will need verification before claiming broader compatibility.

Install or update through ShellCanvas 0.1.6 Settings → Files → Drive Bridge. Detach existing mappings before updating. Signed packages are provided for Windows x64, Linux x64, and macOS Intel/Apple silicon. WinFsp/FUSE/macFUSE remain separate installations. Native macOS runtime acceptance remains pending.

The manifest signature authenticates the package hashes; it is separate from OS code signing and Apple notarization. Drive Bridge is GPL-3.0-only; license notices accompany the binaries, and corresponding source is the v0.1.2 tag, including the vendored SDK and Cargo.lock. Do not use withdrawn version 0.1.0.

Drive Bridge v0.1.1

Drive Bridge 0.1.1 replaces 0.1.0, which was accidentally built from a branch
without the protocol-2 lifecycle changes required by the current desktop.
Use 0.1.1 with current ShellCanvas builds; do not install 0.1.0.

Includes graceful busy detach, passive Explorer folder-handle handling,
remembered drive-letter reservation, native file semantics and lifecycle tests.
The signed manifest and version output derive their protocol from the SDK.

Known Windows SFTP limitation: a second reader while a writable remote handle is
open, and native rename in the tested workflow, can fail with an I/O error.
Close-after-save followed by open/read and busy/ordinary detach passed through
the current desktop SDK; rejected rename preserved the source. Broader Windows
SFTP sharing and rename compatibility remains follow-up work.
