Omagma 0.2.10
Create and reschedule meetings from the terminal, combine your calendars, and
find the event you need in a busy week.
-
Create, edit and move meetings in the TUI. Press
nfor a new event or
eto edit a normal organizer-owned event, including a selected recurring
occurrence. Choose the account and writable calendar explicitly, then review
before confirming. Rescheduling preserves the event's identity, existing
guests, responses and conference. Concurrent changes require a fresh review.
Use Google Calendar for whole recurring series and attendee copies. -
All-day events and clear local times. Enter an all-day event's last
included date; Omagma handles Google's exclusive end date. Timed events use
an explicit time zone. Repeated daylight-saving times offer a first/second
occurrence choice; skipped times must be corrected. -
Invite guests and add a meeting link. Generate Google Meet details on
supported calendars, or paste an existing HTTPS meeting link. Review the
guests and notification choice before saving; adding guests sends invitations
and notifies all participants after confirmation. Existing HTML notes and
guest responses stay intact. -
Choose guests from Contacts. The guest picker uses the destination
account's address book and lets you choose each email address. Adding a guest
preserves existing entries and avoids duplicates. Manual email entry remains
available without Contacts permission. -
Remember the calendars you want to see. Combine sources from one or all
configured accounts, including read-only subscriptions such as holidays.
Checkbox visibility and theme colours persist across restarts, with source
letters and account labels available without colour. Mark one exact source
as Priority to help order events in Week. -
Find events in a crowded week. Taller views show up to four distinct
titles per hour. Week reclaims unused indicator rows to show all 24 hours
when they fit. Click+Nto list that exact hour's events, or pressSpace
for Show all across the selected event's visible hour rows. Choose using
full dates, time zones, calendar and account names. All-day events have their
own chooser. Revealing a long event keeps that choice in one hour, leaving new
starts visible in other hours. -
Recover an uncertain save after restarting. Saved reviews let you check
whether Calendar accepted a request without sending invitations again.
Retrying the identical request or archiving its uncertainty each requires
separate confirmation. The native CLI exposes the same review, apply and
recovery workflow. -
Open Calendar in the owning account's browser profile.
Oopens Google
Calendar andbopens the selected event in that account's configured Chrome
profile.ocontinues to join the meeting directly. -
Smoother Mail navigation and formatting. Sidebar keyboard, mouse and
scrolling now follow the same Contacts, Calendar, Follow-ups and Labels order;
Tab/Shift+Tab retain the chosen destination. Formatted previews preserve
inline-code whitespace styling and keep link-edge gaps undecorated.
Calendar remains optional per account. Existing calendar-write-owned or
calendar-write-shared grants cover the editor and generated Meet links; no
additional Meet scope is needed. Reading other subscribed calendars may require
calendar-read. See Calendar permissions
and the event guide.
Use one Omagma version per private store: 0.2.9 cannot read the new event journal
or customized Calendar visibility/colour preferences. Existing 0.2.9 invitation
and RSVP reviews remain supported when upgrading.
The experimental native TUI and CLI run on Linux and macOS, retaining Mail,
meeting reminders, Follow-ups and optional encrypted-vault storage. The bar
remains read-only. The browser tech demo remains available; Calendar and vault
parity in the browser are deferred.
Built with exact Zig 0.17.0 in assertion-enabled Safe mode.
Download the matching omagma-0.2.10-OS-ARCH.tar.gz bundle and SHA256SUMS; Zig is not needed for installation. Homebrew is preferred on Mac. Native platform checks gate publication. Linux and macOS resource accounting remain separate; ARM Omarchy desktop integration requires local verification. Dedicated test mailboxes belong to developer live-write qualification, not ordinary setup.

omagma 0.2.9
Omagma 0.2.9
Calendar in the terminal, optional encrypted storage, and smoother everyday mail
workflows.
-
Your calendars inside the TUI. Browse agenda, day and week views, choose
calendars and accounts, find events and jump to a date. Event cards show local
times, duration, source time zones and all-day dates. Calendar integration is
optional and requires additional per-account Google permissions; follow
Calendar setup. -
Join meetings in the right browser profile. Press
ofrom a selected
calendar event or its detail card to open the meeting in that account's
configured Chrome profile. Events and Mail invitation cards with usable
meeting links carry the same video-camera marker, . -
Meeting reminders while you work. With the TUI open, a reminder appears
ten minutes before a calendar event, even while reading Mail. It counts down
to the start, then shows time remaining until the meeting ends. Dismiss it or
join an online meeting in the right browser profile. Click Dismiss, or use
M(Shift+m, Meeting actions), thenCtrl+D; plain typing cannot dismiss it. Reminders wait while you
compose or use your editor and update when you return. -
Save invitations to Calendar. Review an invitation's Add, Update or Cancel
action from Mail. Accepting or tentatively accepting a supported invitation
also saves it to Calendar when the account has the necessary permission.
Mail and Calendar outcomes are shown separately; checking an uncertain result
does not send another RSVP. Unsupported recurrence and unresolved time zones
remain explicit instead of producing a guessed event. -
Optional encryption for retained mail and credentials. A password or
recovery key unlocks an encrypted native vault containing cached mail, drafts,
attachments, settings and account credentials. An unlocked background process
serves the native TUI and agent CLI, including over SSH. Migration is explicit
and keeps the original source files for you to retire after verification.
See encrypted vault setup. -
Reliable files from Sent and conversations. Saving and opening an
attachment uses its owning message and the provider's current attachment ID.
Reply, Reply all and Forward stream attachment and preserved-format payloads
to avoid unnecessary full-message copies and memory failures. -
A more responsive reader. Prepared message and search data are reused;
large conversations load progressively. Compact density and adaptive headers
leave more room for mail, and the reader remembers your Plain or Formatted
choice for each message. -
Better Unicode search. Local cache searches share prepared Unicode
matching data across messages, supporting case and normalization differences
without rebuilding the search for every row. -
Follow up on a message later. Set a local reminder with a date preset or
custom date, browse due follow-ups, change the date or mark one Done.
Reminders remain available offline and after restarting Omagma. -
Continue a draft in Gmail. Explicitly hand off a draft while preserving
your local copy. Omagma pauses local editing and sending while you continue
in Gmail. Check its status or download supported content into a new local
Plain draft, keeping both originals and reviewing the Gmail copy before
sending locally. Uploading requires the account's draft permission. -
Less repeated account setup during use. Native sessions reuse verified
access tokens, and your explicit mail actions take priority over the same
client's background refresh.
The experimental native TUI and CLI support these workflows on Linux and macOS. The bar keeps
its existing mail scope. The optional browser tech demo remains available, but
Calendar and encrypted-vault parity in the browser are later work.
Built with exact Zig 0.17.0 in assertion-enabled Safe mode.
Download the matching omagma-0.2.9-OS-ARCH.tar.gz bundle and SHA256SUMS; Zig is not needed for installation. Homebrew is preferred on Mac. Native platform checks gate publication. omagma 0.2.8
Omagma 0.2.8
Copying mail, sending conveniences, easier agent setup, and a browser tech demo:
-
Copy received mail into another app or agent chat. Drag across the reader
to select text, then pressyor choose Copy.Vopens a movable
text cursor; reach your starting point, pressVor Space, then extend and
copy. FurtherVpresses switch character/line selection, with explicit
MOVE/CHAR/LINE indicators. Space unmarks for another starting point.
Copying leaves out pane borders, padding and controls.:copy-message
copies the whole focused message;eopens a private temporary
text copy in your editor. Editor changes never alter received mail, and the
snapshot is removed when you return. Clipboard writes use OSC 52, including
over SSH when your terminal permits them. -
Send now during the countdown. After reviewing a message, press Ctrl+S
or choose Send now to submit it immediately. Undo remains available on
Ctrl+Z or Escape before submission. Tab/Shift+Tab moves between the buttons;
Enter activates the focused action, with Undo initially selected. Both
buttons are clickable and fit narrow terminals. The next message still gets
the default ten-second delay. CLI callers can usequeue.send-nowor
omagma queue send-nowfor the same reviewed queue entry. Repeated actions
and uncertain outcomes retain the existing protections against duplicate
sends. -
Interactive or Agent-enabled Mac setup. Onboarding asks which setup you
want. Interactive uses the native Keychain; Agent-enabled uses private
credential files, so agent subprocesses and SSH can use the same TUI and CLI
without an interactive Keychain session. Existing credentials can be copied
and verified withomagma credentials migratewithout another Google sign-in.
Storage selection changes only after verification, with account and grant
identities preserved. Private files use owner-only directories and file
permissions; the agent still needs access to Omagma's files and network.
The bundled skill and guides also show the correct Homebrew skill location,
stable Codex/Claude registration links, first-launch configuration and
Keychain/SSH guidance for users choosing Interactive setup. -
CLI help that reveals details as needed.
omagma --helpgives a short
overview;omagma cli --helpshows JSONL account discovery and request/reply
examples and the actual JSONL command catalogue. Use
omagma cli --help mail.readfor every public field and referenced object;
--schemasupplies machine-readable request schemas, and
omagma cli --help-allincludes the full offline reference. Documentation is
optional for command discovery.
Ordinary commands also have scoped help, shell examples, shared advanced
options and bare Draft/Contact file schemas. Credential, bar and background
commands explain their own defaults. Help works before file/stdin reads;
usage errors point to the relevant operation. -
Omagma comes full circle: a browser tech demo.
omagma serverserves
the same Zig TUI compiled to WebAssembly. Connect configured Gmail accounts,
read mail, compose replies or forwards with preserved original formatting,
and see the live preview. Browser drafts survive a reload; reviewed label
changes and undo are supported. This optional demonstration is not meant
for everyday use and does not replace the native TUI or agent CLI.
Browser instructions and limits describe the available
workflows and local credential handoff. -
More reliable everyday mail handling. Shared header and Unicode
handling improves compatibility in native and browser views. A malformed
contact is isolated so healthy contacts remain usable, and incomplete
contact data cannot silently overwrite fields. Runtime memory reservations
and bounded decoding keep large or unusual messages from consuming an
unbounded amount of memory. Full-cache refreshes stay within the existing
heap cap; mail and conversation responses avoid duplicate full-body
allocations in native and browser reads. Lowering cache limits safely trims
older mail while protecting
drafts and send receipts. The reader updates automatically when a previously
unavailable body is recovered, preserving scroll and conversation focus.
Classic terminals also recognize Ctrl+Space
for recipient completion in the composer.
These changes require no new Google permissions. The bar remains Linux-only
and read-only; the TUI and CLI run on Linux and macOS. Follow the
update guide for your installation, or open :updates in the
TUI to check for a release and see its upgrade instructions.

omagma 0.2.7
Omagma 0.2.7
Original formatting, friendly meetings and a smoother daily workflow for the
experimental TUI and CLI:
- Keep formatting in replies and forwards. Write your own Markdown or
plain-text note above the original HTML, retaining its layout, tables,
styling and embedded images. The note keeps Omagma's branded design; the
original stays read-only through editing, previews and draft recovery.
Text quotes remain available, and forwarding also offers an original.eml
attachment. A private browser preview shows the outgoing HTML with its
styles and verified inline images. CLI replies and forwards support
--preserve-formatting. The chooser checks embedded resources before
downloading them: if keeping the original exceeds its supported limit,
it explains why and offers Text quote instead of an unavailable action. - Better compatibility with imperfect email HTML. Preserve original
document mode, attributes, styles and trailing content without rebuilding
its markup. A 39-case synthetic Chromium comparison covers recoverable
source patterns and explicit refusals when no safe insertion point exists. - Styled calendar invitation cards. A tinted card with an orange edge,
calendar icon and clear response cue sits below message labels, separated
by a blank line when space permits. It pins to the top as you scroll a long
email and adapts to short panes and monochrome terminals. Click it or press
Ito review; the Accept/Tentative/Decline/Cancel controls support Tab/Enter
and initially focus Cancel. Friendly local times, duration, location and
response details replace raw scheduling fields;oin this review joins
the online meeting explicitly. Conflicting calendar attachments no longer
hide the email; response controls require one unambiguous invitation. - A separate label manager in both interfaces. Click the sidebar's LABELS
heading or use:labelsto create, rename, delete or open an account's
custom labels. The CLI shares collection management. The message assignment
picker hides system labels and shows checked, mixed or absent membership.
Stage several changes, keep them while filtering, then Apply once or Cancel.
Custom labels also have a color picker with readable text. Saving a reviewed
color interrupts background reads; if another write is active, the picker
keeps your choice for retry. Deleting a label keeps the mail; return to Inbox
to leave a label's message view. - Searchable actions and Help. Ctrl+P in the mailbox opens a contextual
action palette;:actionsdiscovers commands in other supported views.
Search shortcuts, descriptions and section names in Help with
/, with live highlighting andn/Nnavigation. Escape clears the search
before leaving Help. Contextual hints now expose more editor, file, preview,
label and theme actions, including in narrow dialogs. - Find and reuse searches. Find displayed message text with
:findand
n/N, with a persistent match counter. Jump to the next or previous unread
cached mail without marking it read. Cache search adds filename, date and
important-state predicates; bounded history and named searches preserve
account and Cache/Gmail scope across restart. - Compose and reply with names and native undo. Recipient suggestions,
contact choices and replies retainName <address>in To/Cc/Bcc.
Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Y restores text and
caret positions, with paste and editor return grouped into single steps;
an explicit verified From chooser replaces blind cycling.
Send review warns when the authored note promises a missing attachment. - Files together, including larger ones. Select several files across
folders and attach the complete set. Save All/selected preserves existing
files with fresh names, stops on a failure and reports what was saved for
explicit retry. Immutable account
storage and bounded streaming support receiving and saving attachments up
to 50 MiB. Sending retains a 25 MiB combined decoded attachment limit and
a 35 MiB MIME-message limit; cache disk quotas still apply. - A moment to change your mind. Confirming send starts a cancellable
ten-second countdown; Undo returns to the retained draft before submission.
:send-grace 0..30changes the period. Interrupted queued sends stay paused
after restart, with explicit Resume/Cancel for the matching draft and account.
The CLI shares queue controls and delayed-send support. - Clear message or conversation scope. Resolve complete conversation IDs
before reviewed actions and show the account, subject and count. Stable
triage position, focused-message toggles and selective undo keep unrelated
state intact; delayed results cannot retarget a different selection. - More complete daily workflows. Contacts preserve their supported
addresses and provider metadata; choose an address or prefill a contact from
the sender. Local draft discard starts on safe Cancel. Spam/Not spam and
shared CLI operations complete the mailbox workflow. - Keyboard controls throughout dialogs. Tab/Shift+Tab and Enter reach
label actions, links, attachment Save/Save & open, contact Save/Cancel,
sender aliases, and send/Trash/invitation reviews. Reviews start on Back or
Cancel; submitting requires deliberately choosing the action. - Theme picker with live preview. Preview and save the orange Omagma
theme or Follow Omarchy. Cancel restores the saved palette; Follow Omarchy
adopts desktop theme changes automatically and falls back to Omagma when
no palette is available. - Clearer message status. Unread subjects are bold with a dot; read
subjects use normal weight. Stars remain visible independently of bulk
selection, known attachments show a paperclip beside the subject, and reader
headers display readable message label names. - Gmail metadata and body compatibility. Star/unstar, read/unread and archive stay
usable when account labels have missing or legacy color metadata. Label reads
retain valid RGB pairs and ignore malformed optional colors; messages with
no labels also work when Gmail omits the empty label list. Outgoing color
choices and mutation confirmations remain strictly validated. UTF-8 inline
text also handles Gmail's base64 byte-order-mark size discrepancy, so the
message and its attachments remain accessible. Large unloaded inline photos
keep the email readable with image placeholders and downloadable files.
Older cached size refusals
and other decoding failures are retried once after the decoder update;
repeated failures keep their diagnostics. ISO-8859-15 mail decodes correctly,
and malformed encoded subjects, display names and filenames retain readable
literal text instead of hiding the mail or aborting its mailbox page. - Smoother navigation and rendering. Ctrl+U/D scroll half a visible
mail-list page; PageUp/PageDown scroll a full page. Invisible padding and
stale display artifacts are corrected, and link underlines stay off
surrounding spaces and punctuation. - Launch the TUI from the desktop. The bar's Open TUI button opens its
selected account in a centered floating terminal. Setup includes the app
launcher entry, an optional Omarchy Super+Shift+E email shortcut, and a
generic launcher for other Linux desktops. - Missing-recipient checks. Trying to review a send without recipients
returns focus to To and keeps the draft editable, without creating an
uncertain submission. - Upgrade notices with the right instructions. A daily background check
shows a keyboard-accessible Upgrade available card on the main mailbox
screen. Dismiss remembers a release; How to update identifies the running
installation and offers commands, release notes and an agent handoff.
Omarchy Git plugins, release bundles, Homebrew and manual installations get
their own procedures. The saved interval survives restart, automatic checks
can be disabled, and the CLI shares status/check/guide/dismiss controls.
Public release checks need no Google authorization.
Markdown mail, multiple attachments, native file browsing, live cache updates,
per-account new-mail cards and the existing mail/contact workflows remain
available. The TUI and CLI are experimental on Linux and macOS; the Omarchy
bar remains Linux-only and read-only. This release adds no new Google permission
requirement. Existing account grants and separate bar/terminal registrations
retain their roles. New measurements are not implied by this version bump;
published memory observations retain their original versions and workloads.

omagma 0.2.6
Omagma 0.2.6
Bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements for the experimental TUI and agent CLI:
- Markdown mail. Compose, reply, reply-all and forward with a live outgoing
preview; send rendered HTML plus a plain-text alternative. Lists, tables,
links, inline code and highlighted Python/Zig code fences are supported.
The small footer puts the logo first, an orange underlined omagma link
next to grey “Sent with”, and 🌋 last. Existing drafts retain their format;
Ctrl+T changes interpretation without rewriting source. - Native attachment picker. Browse local files, show hidden entries and
reach controls with Tab/Shift+Tab and Enter. Ctrl+F completes filenames
case-insensitively while preserving their real spelling. Compose supports
multiple files; received attachments can be saved or explicitly saved/opened.
Sizes use readable B/kB/MB units, and existing quota/overwrite protections stay. - Reliable forwarding. Cached Gmail attachment references may change.
Download the selected reference directly, safely resolve an expired reference
and normalize padded binary data; preserve files and refuse ambiguous matches. - Write above the quote. New reply and forward bodies start at the top.
Ctrl+G jumps to the beginning of the body. The native cursor no longer inserts
a visual blank cell or reflows text while moving. - Invitation replies and cleaner text. Recognize valid iCalendar requests
in named.icsfiles and common MIME types, including Teams/Outlook mail;
review Accept, Tentative or Decline before sending an RSVP. Improve encoded
header/entity and legacy-character decoding for readable text and umlauts. - Clearer controls and errors. Use Ctrl consistently for modified shortcuts,
leaving Ctrl+B to terminal multiplexers. Forward appears in mailbox/reader
hints;oopens mail in the configured Gmail profile. Error codes appear in
status and at the top of Help. Unknown commands/options suggest--help,
andomagma versionworks alongside--version.
Live cache updates, auto-hiding per-account new-mail cards, gg across the cache,
shortened coloured links, HTML-only reading and local dates remain available,
along with $EDITOR, cached-correspondent completion, sender identities,
contacts, existing labels, bulk actions/undo and saved working context.
The TUI and CLI remain experimental on Linux and macOS. The Omarchy bar stays
Linux-only and read-only. Existing configuration, Chrome profiles, keyring tokens
and the separate read-only/terminal OAuth registrations retain their roles.
This release adds no new Google permission requirement: sending, contact writes
and mailbox changes still use the explicitly requested account capabilities.

omagma 0.2.5
Omagma 0.2.5
Three improvements make the experimental TUI easier to leave open and return to:
- Live cached mail updates. The TUI adopts mail written by the background
refresh or another Omagma client without Ctrl+R. New rows appear while your
selected message and reader position stay in place. A compact New mail
card accumulates arrivals separately for each account and clears on your next
interaction. It stays out of composing, contacts, search and expanded reading. ggacross the cache. Jump to the first message in the entire cached
mailbox or result set, even from a later window, with either the list or reader
focused. Expanded reading keepsggas scroll-to-top for the current body.- Cleaner mail rendering. HTML-only mail handles malformed marketing
markup, hidden styles and Office layout debris more cleanly. Links are cyan
and underlined in HTML and plaintext; long visible URLs show a compact
host/path whileLkeeps the complete destination. Images show a caption or
[Image], with decorative empty-alt images omitted. No remote resources load.
Genuine plaintext alternatives and literal technical angle brackets remain
intact; stored bodies and CLI output are unchanged by these display rules.
The full feature set remains available: the read-only three-account Omarchy bar;
cache-first terminal reading and continuous mail-window navigation; formatted
HTML-only messages and folded threads; local drafts, compose, reply/reply-all
and forwarding; $EDITOR, multiple attachments and explicit send review;
cached-correspondent completion, contacts and sender identities/signatures;
bulk actions with undo, existing-label views, invitation replies, local dates
and saved working context. The agent CLI provides one-shot commands and bounded
account-scoped JSONL operations, with cache-only and explicit server search.
The TUI and CLI remain experimental on Linux and macOS. The Omarchy bar is
Linux-only. Existing account configuration and Google OAuth registrations keep
their roles: the bar remains read-only, broader terminal permissions use the
requested per-account grant, and sending or mailbox/contact changes require
an explicit action. This release adds no new Google permission requirement.
