NTXM Browser mini v0.1.2

Production release focused on in-browser DOM automation — click, type, select, wait, and related page control over the local REST API, without CDP, Selenium, or Playwright.

Highlights

DOM automation (new)

  • Interact with live pages via REST: click, type, hover, select_option, scroll, wait_for, eval, and more
  • Stable targeting with ntxm_id from /elements and /page_map (survives re-queries better than selector + index alone)
  • Visibility checks so hidden elements fail clearly (not_visible) instead of silently doing nothing
  • Screenshots and page summaries for agent workflows
  • Local HTML practice pages at /fixtures plus API docs under /tools

Remote access

  • Cloudflare quick/named tunnel from /control or /tunnel/*
  • Clear errors when a tunnel is already running or nothing is running to stop (already_running, not_running, …)
  • Optional ?force=1 to replace an existing tunnel

Quick try

curl.exe "http://127.0.0.1:9090/elements?selector=button"
curl.exe -X POST "http://127.0.0.1:9090/click?selector=button&index=0"

NTXM Browser Mini v0.1.1 introduces a major architectural upgrade to its REST Automation Server, turning it into a fully controllable multi-tab and multi-group workspace. The update implements a robust target resolution engine that resolves tab and group actions using dedicated query parameters (id, index, group_id, and group_index). This allows developers to target and manipulate specific elements across the entire browser layout programmatically, using a defined hierarchy of fallback rules instead of being restricted to only controlling the active window view.

In addition to this control logic, the API surface has been greatly expanded with tab group endpoints and system persistence controls. The server now exposes dedicated routes for listing, creating, renaming, reordering, and closing tab groups, alongside session-level controls like manual session saving and loading (/save_session and /load_session). The user interface matches these upgrades by introducing a bottom-aligned toggleable action toolbar for shortcuts and stabilizing tab-switching behavior, ensuring that active URLs are correctly synchronized and displayed in the address bar when changing tabs or groups. Also, Now you can start or stop server, chnage the port, set password on the server.

NTXM Browser Mini is a lightweight, privacy-first desktop web browser designed from the ground up for developers, QA testers, and AI agents. Unlike standard consumer browsers that require bulky drivers and heavy headful processes to orchestrate, NTXM Browser Mini runs a native, multi-threaded REST Automation Server (http://127.0.0.1:9090) out-of-the-box.

This enables you to control tabs, trigger navigation, and scrape fully rendered DOM contents programmatically using simple, lightweight HTTP requests from any language.
