AlphaRNG Software Kit version 2.15 for Windows, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD

What's new

  • OpenSSL 4 provider: makes RAND_bytes() and RAND_priv_bytes() return bytes from an AlphaRNG device (OpenSSL 4.0 removed engines)
  • Build it with -DALRNG_BUILD_PROVIDER=ON (needs OpenSSL 4.0, or 3.5.x with OSSL_FUNC_PROVIDER_RANDOM_BYTES)
  • Settings in openssl.cnf: cipher, mac, rsa, key_file, device, data and stat_tests, with the same values as the alrng options
  • Several devices can be used by running separate processes, each with its own device number
  • Provider tests that use a simulated device, so they need no hardware
