SwiftRNG Software Kit version 7.4.0 for Windows, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD.

What's new

  • OpenSSL 4 provider: makes RAND_bytes() and RAND_priv_bytes() return bytes from a SwiftRNG device (OpenSSL 4.0 removed engines, so eng_swiftrng cannot be used with it)
  • Build it with -DSWRNG_BUILD_PROVIDER=ON (needs OpenSSL 4.0, or 3.5.x with OSSL_FUNC_PROVIDER_RANDOM_BYTES). The engine remains for OpenSSL 3 and earlier
  • Provider tests that use a simulated device, so they need no hardware
