Teitunnel 0.3.0
Teitunnel 0.3.0
Tunnels now look after themselves after sleep and network changes, the inspector gains
breakpoints and a live Overview, every share and route gets its own traffic numbers, and
AI tools such as claude.ai and ChatGPT can sign in to MCP servers you share.
Highlights
- Recovers by itself. After your computer wakes, changes Wi-Fi or comes back online,
tunnels reconnect within seconds instead of waiting out a retry. A tunnel that kept
failing while you were offline is tried again automatically, and "down" notifications
wait a moment after a wake so they don't cry wolf. - A live Overview. Traffic, errors and uptime at a glance, with the latest requests as
they arrive. - Breakpoints in the inspector. Hold a request or its answer, change it, answer it
yourself or drop it, then let it go on. - WebSocket messages, readable. Filter by direction, search, and open a message to read
it whole, with JSON laid out and a copy button. The request list stays smooth with
10,000 requests. - Numbers for every share and route. Requests per second, status codes, countries,
browsers and bots, including Quick Shares, which Cloudflare's analytics never see. - Pages that load but are broken. After you share, Teitunnel reads the page and names
links visitors can't follow (tolocalhost, or over plainhttp://) with the setting to
change for Laravel, Rails, Django, Flask, FastAPI or Node. - Share MCP servers with claude.ai and ChatGPT. They sign in, and you approve each
connection in Teitunnel after comparing a short code. Settings ▸ AI Tools lists them
and disconnects them. - Pause, schedule and protect from where you are. Pause or resume a Quick Share from
its card, pause and schedule routes from the Routes view, and add a password or secret
link to a Quick Share with one click. - Webhooks skip a route's login. Keep a login on your site while
/webhooksstays
reachable for Stripe or GitHub. - Browser extension. Share the local page you're on from Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc,
Vivaldi or Firefox. The app side is in this release (Settings ▸ Integrations ▸
Browser Extension); the store listings follow. - More for AI agents. Test how an app copes with slow networks and failures, read a
route's health, give a dev server a local HTTPS address, and manage offline pages and
webhook inboxes.

Fixes
- Settings opens on Windows.
- On macOS, the app, the
teitunnelcommand and AI agents share keychain items, so there
are no repeated password prompts; credentials are read once, not on every call. - Removing a hostname's last route, or deleting a tunnel, also removes what was attached to
it (offline page, inbox, edge rules, service tokens, pauses, schedules), and the Doctor
finds anything earlier versions left behind. - Undoing a change restores a signature-checking webhook inbox with its secret.
- Folder shares and brand-new addresses work on the first try; servers running without the
app clean up shares left behind. - The app does its disk and network work off the main thread, and polls Cloudflare less.
Install
Download Teitunnel for your system from https://teitunnel.teispace.com/download, or
update from the app (Restart to Update). Also:
- macOS:
brew install --cask teispace/tap/teitunnel - Servers: the
teitunnelarchives below, the apt/dnf repository, or the Docker image
teispace/teitunnel(alsoghcr.io/teispace/teitunnel).
Every download is listed in SHA256SUMS.txt and carries GitHub build provenance
(gh attestation verify <file> --repo teispace/teitunnel).
Known limitations
- Windows builds are not code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC":
choose More info ▸ Run anyway. - The browser extension isn't in the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons yet.
