Changes

Bundle CLI 0.1.74. Keep Serve and Settings connected without model credentials, and guide first-time users inside the chat panel rather than opening terminal initialization prompts.
Configure a model in the existing Settings UI and resume chat without restarting Serve. Add default-model indicators and shortcuts, preserve form input on partial saves, and provide concise inline connection errors with retry.

Release channel and acceptance

This release is available on GitHub only. Automatic VS Code Marketplace upload was explicitly disabled for this release; publishing here does not update the Marketplace listing.

The exact darwin-arm64, darwin-x64 and linux-x64 VSIX packages passed native installation acceptance in workflow run 38503229725. The universal VSIX is the pure extension package and contains no CLI. No additional local test suite was run.

Known issue retained with release-owner approval

A permission-refused write may be labelled Created after history reload even though the file was not created. The release owner explicitly deferred this presentation defect for bundled CLI 0.1.74. Acceptance still requires actual denial, file absence (including after reload), an explicit history status and all other native package checks. This is a known issue, not a fixed or visually passing result.

Keep Serve, history and model configuration reachable without an API key by separating model metadata from inference credentials.
Apply saved default-model selections to the running Serve process and allow compaction to fall back to the current main model.

Known issue retained with release-owner approval

Tomcat VS Code Extension 0.1.88

Marketplace launch preparation. Extension ID: tomcat-agent.tomcat-vscode-ext.

Installation

Requires VS Code 1.106.0 or newer.
Bundled native packages: macOS Apple Silicon (darwin-arm64), macOS Intel (darwin-x64), and Linux x64 (linux-x64). These include Tomcat CLI 0.1.73.
The universal VSIX is an advanced, GitHub-only option and requires separately installing/configuring Tomcat CLI.
VS Code Marketplace publication is a separate manual first-upload step; this GitHub Release does not claim that Marketplace publication or long-term automatic publishing is already enabled.

Verified artifacts

Packages were built once in CI run 38332269614; all three native packages passed installation, bundled-CLI resolution and actual Serve/model, permission-allowed/denied writes, cancellation and reload checks on their respective native runners. The original ext-v0.1.88 product tag is unchanged. Every archive payload file is byte-identical to that tag's original CI build. Acceptance-only correction 084d5dfd ensures isolated test windows use in-memory secret storage rather than waiting for macOS keychain prompts. Checksums are provided in SHA256SUMS.

Known issue (release-owner deferred)

With CLI 0.1.73, a denied write is incorrectly labelled Created after restoring history. The write is still refused and the file is not created; security checks remain active. Native acceptance is therefore recorded as passed_with_known_issues, not as a visually fixed result. This display repair is deferred to a later release.
