GCSE grade C or above, including maths, English and science would be an advantage. You may be able to enter this route through an apprenticeship with an electronics, telecommunications or IT company. Alternatively, you could take a full-time course in electrical or electronic engineering at level 2 or 3, depending on your GCSE grades.
