RO Crate refers to Research Object Crate, "a schema.org-based JSON lightweight approach to the next generation Research Object serializations." (https://www.researchobject.org/). The Common Provenance Model RO Crate Profile can be used to bundle the enriched canon list, code, workflow provenance description, and other metadata in a RO Crate that conforms to the Distributed Provenance Model proposed by Wittner et al. (see Wiki page "Workflow provenance modelling example"). For a usage example see Wittner et al. (2023), and for background on RO Crate Profiles see here.
