This remediation is still needed, but the branch is now incomplete and pins a superseded release. Current main has 17 actions/checkout uses; this PR updates 16 and leaves .github/workflows/chromatic.yml on mutable @v4.
Please rebase and pin all 17 uses to the official v7.0.1 commit 3d3c42e5aac5ba805825da76410c181273ba90b1. v7.0.1 includes follow-up handling for unsafe PR checks and Git config escaping.
