The TFX roadmap has not been meaningfully updated since the end of 2020. Case in point, its scope does not extend beyond Q1 2021, which we are long past now:
This highlights the main OSS efforts for the TFX team in Q4 2020 and Q1 2021, along with the history from 2019 onwards.
When this particular point seemed to last come up in #675 in 2019, the message was that the roadmap would be updated quarterly. That has evidently not been the case.
From a general user's perspective, an updated -- and regularly updated -- roadmap is crucial for and contributes to confidence in the long-term utility of TFX. The ramifications are especially critical for enterprise ML teams -- such as mine at @spotify -- that have based their internal ML platforms around TFX; without a roadmap for TFX, our ability to meaningfully make plans around TFX for our own platform development needs, both short- and long-term, is compromised.
I'd like to request an updated roadmap for TFX.
