termux-toast issue - anyone else?

Hi, since moving to a new phone, I am having a slight issue with termux-toast.
I am on a OnePlus 13 running OS16. I have a few termux tasks (in the . shortcuts/tasks folder). They, for example, start/stop my vnc or web server. When I Initially click on one of the task links, say, to start a task, I get the termux-toast message as coded in the script and the desired service starts successfully. If I click the link again (to stop the service) I don't get the termux-toast message but the script has still run successfully and stopped the service.
Hope that makes sense.
If I execute the task(s) from the command line, the termux-toast messages work properly.
All worked well on my OnePlus 6 previously with the same coding.

Anyone else having the same issue?
