Explore Better v0.2.6
A compatibility update for everyone who already chose Explore Better as their Windows folder and drive default.
Fixed
- Packaged startup detects Explore Better-owned legacy PowerShell folder, drive, background, and file-location commands and replaces them with the installed
Explore Better.exe. - An existing Explore Better default remains enabled; users are not asked to choose it again.
- If another application owns the folder/drive default, Explore Better maintains only its own existing context-menu commands and does not take the default back.
- Fresh and already-current installations are left unchanged.
Verification
- 131/131 complete acceptance suites passed.
- 15/15 live current-user registry migration checks passed with exact snapshot restoration.
- 15/15 default-app UI and 13/13 shell rehearsal checks passed.
- 31/31 release-readiness, 18/18 release-bundle, and 175/175 speed-health checks passed.
- The installed v0.2.6 build was given a real legacy handler and repaired all four commands on first launch while Directory and Drive remained
ExploreBetter.
