Ryft v1.0.0
Ryft v1.0.0
Well... it's finally here.
Started this as a small side project, kept adding random ideas, scrapped half of them, rewrote a bunch of things, renamed it from Kyte to Ryft somewhere in the middle, and after way too many late nights it's finally in a state I'm happy to release.
What's in this release
- First public release on PyPI
- AI-powered Git assistant
- Interactive project setup
ryft doctorfor checking and fixing common setup issues- AI commit generation
- Repository review & analysis
- Better error handling with actual helpful messages
- Cross-platform support
- CI setup
- Lots of small polish and cleanup everywhere
There's definitely stuff that can be improved, but I'd rather ship something people can actually use than spend another month chasing perfection.
What's next
No huge roadmap.
Just gonna keep using Ryft myself and improve whatever feels annoying or slow.
Expect better workflows, better AI responses, more polish, and a bunch of quality-of-life improvements over time.
Thanks
Huge thanks to sunveeeeee for sitting through all the broken builds, testing basically everything, breaking things I didn't think could break, and helping make this release a lot more solid.
Really appreciate it.
If you find bugs, have ideas, or just think something sucks, open an issue. I'll probably end up fixing it at 3am anyway.
Thanks for checking out Ryft :)
