I'm a robotics engineer. At the moment that means an MSc in Robotics at the University of Bristol alongside part-time work as an AI/Data Engineer at the FIA Formula E World Championship, after two years at Liberty Global in automation and prototyping a patent-pending soft vine robot that installs fibre-optic cable through buried ducting.

My dissertation compares three ways of giving a pretrained vision-language-action model access to touch, evaluated on cloth folding with an ABB YuMi. It's in progress, and the write-up gets results as soon as I have them.

Some of the work I'm proudest of I am not able to publish: the vine robot, the Formula E lap-simulation and race-prediction tooling, and a radiation-mapping rover. Those are written up on the site.
