Release list
v0.11.8
v0.11.8: New DAW setup, so preset changes always load
- PedalCues now goes on a track of its own, and your cue tracks have no plugin on them. With the VST3 version on a cue track, preset changes were lost (a VST3 plugin can't receive Program Changes, so the DAW dropped them), while scene changes still worked.
- How to connect, the user guide and the Help page show the new steps: the PedalCues track sends its MIDI to the cue tracks (Reaper: I/O > Add new send, audio None), so the tiles' play buttons still reach your devices.
- Already set up? Take PedalCues off the cue tracks (or bypass it there) and add the PedalCues track. On a Mac, the AU version on a cue track also works.

v0.11.7
v0.11.7: Quad Cortex mode tiles fixed, clean one-message clips
- Quad Cortex: the Scene Mode and Stomp Mode tiles were swapped. They now follow Neural DSP's manual (CC#47 = 1 Scene, 2 Stomp); the hover text says why a QC with reordered modes would swap them. Drag mode clips again.
- Clips with one message (a scene, the tuner, a tap) no longer send a second message 1/16 later, except in Ableton Live, which needs a clip length. On the Quad Cortex that extra message kept the tap tempo screen open in Reaper. The plugin sees when it runs in Live; in the standalone app, pick Ableton Live under How to connect > Your DAW. Drag your Tap clips again.

v0.11.6
v0.11.6: Shortcut lists you can read and keep open
- Long descriptions in the shortcut lists (Draw and Song Builder) wrap onto a second line instead of being cut off.
- Song Builder: the ? button moved to the right end of the arrangement's header, the ? key opens it too, and "Keep it at the bottom" keeps the list open under the tracks (Hide puts it away).
- Draw: right-click a line to pick it, so Line shape in the menu changes that line.
- Shortcut lists and hover texts corrected to match what each key and click does.

v0.11.5
v0.11.5: Loop a move, and longer backing tracks play to their end
- Loop a move: a ↻ button next to the play button on every move tile (treadle and expression moves, drawn moves) plays it again and again at the song's tempo. Click it again to stop.
- Song Builder: scroll past the song's end. The arrangement shows a few bars after the end, with the rest of a backing track's waveform, and a cue dropped there makes the last section longer.
- Song Builder: a backing track longer than the song plays to its end instead of stopping at the last bar, and its WAV (dragged into your DAW or in a song package) isn't cut off either.

v0.11.3
v0.11.3: Easy-to-read shortcut lists
- A ? button on the Draw pad and in the Song Builder lists every shortcut, grouped, each key next to what it does
- The larger Draw editor shows the list under the pad
- Shorter hover texts

v0.11.2
v0.11.2: Song Builder fixes and backing track settings
- Fix: with a backing track loaded, the metronome kept clicking for about a second after you stopped the song
- Backing track settings in one panel: the file, volume, where bar 1 is (type it or nudge it by 10 ms) and the song's length
- Long backing tracks aren't cut off: PedalCues offers to add the missing bars to the song
- Set the song position by clicking or dragging the click lane, or drag the position line itself; the ruler shows the grid
- Tempo changes: a "Gradually transition to the next tempo" tick box
- Draw: freehand strokes put their points on the grid
Full Changelog: v0.11.1...v0.11.2
v0.11.1
v0.11.1: Tempo changes anywhere, exact song import, Whammy Early by
- Song Builder: a Tempo lane with tempo changes at any beat, even partway through a bar, like Reaper's tempo markers; drag them up / down for the tempo and left / right to move them, or drag the line
- Gradual tempo changes for ritardandos and accelerandos; Play, the click, the backing track and the exported tempo map follow them
- Song import is exact: tempo changes land where they are in the file (Guitar Pro too), bars never shift, 225 BPM reads as 225
- Whammy: Early by (10-50 ms) plays treadle moves a little early for the pedal's pitch-shift delay
- Draw: curve a line by dragging the diamond in its middle; Bezier starts curved
- Fix: Cmd / Ctrl-click deselects a song in the Songs list
Full Changelog: v0.11.0...v0.11.1
v0.11.0
v0.11.0: Backing-track creator and easier drawing
- Song Builder (beta): a metronome and count-in, a click per section (beat, 1/8, 1/16, triplets), your own click sounds, the click on one side and the backing track on the other; changes heard live while playing
- Add a backing track (MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC), line it up with bar 1 or fit the tempo to it, tap a section's tempo
- Export a song package (cues MIDI + click WAV + backing WAV) for one song or the whole setlist, with or without the count-in; drag the click and backing track into your DAW
- Mute / solo tracks, play from or loop a section, play the setlist with a gap between songs
- Grid and snap, zoom and track height, any time signature (37/8 too), select several songs to copy, paste or delete
- Draw your moves like a DAW envelope: points, curve shapes, multi-select, scale and tilt, undo / redo, a grid and a larger editor
- Hover texts now show everywhere and in full; export choices list the files they write
- Browsing songs, presets and views no longer marks your DAW project as changed
Full Changelog: v0.10.0...v0.11.0
v0.10.0
v0.10.0: Song Builder (beta): build a whole song and drag it into your DAW
- Song Builder (beta): sections with their tempo and time signature, a track per device, cues dragged in from the tabs; copy, paste and duplicate, play it to your rig
- Drag the whole song into your DAW as one MIDI file with the tempo map and section markers, or export one file or a file per track for a backing-track player
- A MIDI channel per track, and duplicate a track for a second player's rig
- Save songs as files, and import songs from song files or MIDI files (with their cues, or just the markers, tempo and time signatures)
- Saved automatically: the MIDI strip shows when your changes are saved; the standalone app now saves after every change
