v1.12.4 — Robustness
Robustness release, no new features.
- Waking the phone while its screen was turned off by the module no longer forgets that state. If the panel doesn't come back on by itself, the module turns it on; if it can't, Win+P can still recover it (before, Win+P tried to turn off an already black panel).
- A keyboard shortcut whose key release got lost no longer leaves that key stuck down in the app on its next press.
- "Keep screen on" is now renewed periodically instead of held indefinitely: same behaviour while the desktop is in use, but if the release is ever missed it expires on its own instead of lasting until reboot.
- Refresh rate: if the monitor is already at the chosen rate (59.94 counts as 60) nothing changes; otherwise the closest supported rate is used. Before, with both 60.00 and 59.94 available, it could switch for no reason and make the monitor blink.
- Touchpad direct reading stops cleanly if the touchscreen node disappears, instead of spinning at high priority.
- The "apply settings now" broadcast is now also restricted on the sending side.
Install over your current version (same signing key, keeps your LSPosed scope) and reboot.
v1.12.1 — Keep apps below the monitor status bar
Keep apps below the monitor's status bar (experimental, off by default). Since Android 15 apps draw edge to edge and must leave room for the status bar themselves; on the external display some don't (a browser's tab strip, for example, ends up under the clock and icons). With this option, app windows on the monitor start below the bar. Full-screen video stays full screen. It applies to apps opened after you turn it on (Settings, Monitor section).
This replaces 1.12.0, where the option had no effect: edge-to-edge apps also clear the window's fit sides, so the top side has to be set as well.
The status bar and SystemUI are not touched. The diagnostic report now also shows each window's fit sides.
Install over your current version (same signing key, keeps your LSPosed scope) and reboot.
v1.12.0 — Keep apps below the monitor status bar
Keep apps below the monitor's status bar (experimental, off by default). Since Android 15 apps draw edge to edge and must leave room for the status bar themselves; on the external display some don't (a browser's tab strip, for example, ends up under the clock and icons). With the new option, app windows on the monitor start below the bar. Full-screen video stays full screen. It applies to apps opened after you turn it on (Settings, Monitor section).
The status bar and SystemUI are not touched.
Install over your current version (same signing key, keeps your LSPosed scope) and reboot.
v1.11.0 — Pinch to zoom, on-screen keyboard warning
Pinch to zoom on the touchpad. Spread or pinch two fingers on the phone to zoom on the monitor. It is sent as Ctrl+wheel, so it works in apps that zoom with Ctrl+wheel, such as browsers. Two-finger scroll, two-finger tap (right click) and the other gestures are unchanged.
On-screen keyboard warning. If Show on-screen keyboard is on while you use a physical keyboard, letters can get stuck in some apps on the monitor until you lock and unlock the phone. The Keyboard section of the settings now warns you and can turn it off with one tap.
Diagnostic report. The report now includes the windows and insets of the monitor, to investigate windows drawn over the monitor's status bar.
Install over your current version (same signing key, keeps your LSPosed scope) and reboot.
v1.10.14 — Physical keyboard on the monitor: fix documented
Physical-keyboard text not showing in apps on the monitor until you lock and unlock the phone (Delete/Backspace work, letters don't): turn off Show on-screen keyboard in the physical keyboard settings, or run
adb shell settings put secure show_ime_with_hard_keyboard 0
With it on, the keyboard app keeps an on-screen keyboard session open for the app on the monitor and the letters get stuck in it.
No functional code changes since 1.10.10: this release documents the fix in the README (English and Italian). The experimental keyboard reconnect tried in the unreleased 1.10.11-1.10.13 builds had no effect and has been removed.
Install over your current version (same signing key, keeps your LSPosed scope) and reboot.
HyperDesktop Unlock 1.10.10
Physical keyboard fixes.
- No more stalled keys after connecting: SmartDock's accessibility service was enabled at the instant of connection and crashed when the monitor's density/resolution were applied a moment later; while it restarted, hardware keys (which pass through it) lagged or arrived in bursts. It is now enabled a few seconds later, once the monitor is configured.
- With a physical keyboard connected, the on-screen keyboard is no longer moved to the phone while the touchpad is on. Without one, it still opens on the phone, below the touchpad.
Install: download the APK below, install it, reboot. Requirements: Xiaomi with DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C, HyperOS 4 / Android 17, root + LSPosed (scope: System Framework, System UI, Settings)
HyperDesktop Unlock 1.10.9
Physical keyboard fix.
- With a physical keyboard connected, the on-screen keyboard is no longer moved to the phone while the touchpad is on. Keys could lag, get lost or arrive in bursts; they now behave normally. Without a physical keyboard, the on-screen keyboard still opens on the phone, below the touchpad.
Install: download the APK below, install it, reboot. Requirements: Xiaomi with DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C, HyperOS 4 / Android 17, root + LSPosed (scope: System Framework, System UI, Settings)
HyperDesktop Unlock 1.10.6
Keyboard on the phone, Quick Settings tiles, diagnostics, and a smooth touchpad.
New
- Keyboard on the phone: with the touchpad on and no physical keyboard, tapping a text field on the monitor opens the on-screen keyboard on the phone, below the touchpad. Fingers on the keyboard don't move the pointer.
- Quick Settings tiles: Monitor switches between Computer and Mirroring without unplugging; Touchpad turns the phone into the touchpad right away. Edit the tiles in the notification shade to add them.
- Diagnostics in the settings app: shows whether the module is running and which parts did not attach, and creates a report to copy, share or attach to a GitHub issue.
- The phone screen is never turned off while the monitor is mirroring.
Fixes
- Touchpad: smooth movement. HyperOS was cancelling every swipe after its first sample; touches are now read straight from the touchscreen driver.
Install: download the APK below, install it, reboot. Requirements: Xiaomi with DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C, HyperOS 4 / Android 17, root + LSPosed (scope: System Framework, System UI, Settings)
HyperDesktop Unlock 1.9.3
Phone as a touchpad, and a fixed Alt+Tab bar.
New
- Use the phone as a touchpad (Settings → Phone, off by default). The phone screen stays black instead of turning off and works as a touchpad for the monitor, with the real system pointer: one finger moves, tap = click, tap then touch and move = drag, two fingers = scroll, two-finger tap = right click, three fingers (or Win+P) = phone back.
- Touchpad sensitivity slider, applied right away.
- The phone screen comes back by itself for an incoming call.
Fixes
- The Alt+Tab bar no longer cuts off the last app; with many apps it wraps to a second row.
Install: download the APK below, install it, reboot. Requirements: Xiaomi with DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C, HyperOS 4 / Android 17, root + LSPosed (scope: System Framework, System UI, Settings)
HyperDesktop Unlock 1.7.3
Monitor controls, more shortcuts and an update check — plus the 1.7.x fixes.
New
- Monitor settings, picked from the modes your monitor reports (and remembered when it's unplugged): logical resolution and refresh rate, alongside density. Applied in the background, no reboot needed.
- Also open on the monitor: extra apps launched on the external display after the dock, on connect.
- Keyboard: Win+Backspace = Back on the monitor, Win+1…9 = focus the Nth app on the monitor.
- The settings app checks GitHub for a newer version.
Fixes (1.7.1 → 1.7.3)
- The resolution picker no longer offers the monitor's odd/non-landscape modes, which could rotate the monitor to portrait.
- On HyperOS, Native now pins the real physical size (e.g. 3840×2160) instead of clearing the override — clearing made the monitor fall back to the phone's portrait resolution. A saved value with the wrong orientation is ignored.
Install: download the APK below, enable it in LSPosed (scope: System Framework, System UI, Settings), reboot.
Requirements: Xiaomi with DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C, HyperOS 4 / Android 17, root + LSPosed
