Features

Support machine delegations and API keys (#1284)

Add human-managed machine delegations owned by a user or organization,
with expiring API keys and overlapping rotation through the CLI. Machine
keys support the hosted CLI, inherit their owner's current authority,
and stay out of run inputs and subprocesses; delegation management
requires human login.

Document key creation, rotation, and unattended authentication in CLI
help and the target guide.

Fixes

Validate remote base before local PR delivery (#1275)

Local PR and merge runs now reject a target branch that is absent from
the selected remote before agents start. The base is the current
branch's upstream when configured, otherwise its local name. Errors and
documentation explain how to select the intended upstream.

Preflight uses the existing supervised Git transport and the prepared
run's captured environment, with native Git launched in the selected
workspace so relative search paths agree with delivery. It resolves the
delivery binding's named connections with the same credential-selection
helpers as delivery, preserving source credential and GitHub token
precedence. Existing submissions return without remote access; new
submissions check the remote outside the shared submission lock and
recheck idempotency before controller startup. Push-only runs skip the
preflight.

Closes #1264.

Recover the missing Prettier release summary (#1285)

Restore canonical release generation after Dependabot PR #1266 merged
without a Summary section. Recover its Prettier 3.9.9 to 3.9.10 summary
through the existing map keyed to the exact immutable commit; unknown
commits without summaries still fail.

Documentation

Add a local first run and graph adaptation (#1272)

The installed zeroshot skill now covers local runs, not only Cloud.
Asked to use zeroshot on a fresh install, an agent can list local
profiles, run the built-in software-change graph on the harness and
login it already has, report what each reviewer rejected and what each
repair changed, and save the setup as a default profile so later
requests need no files. A new section covers adapting the graph on
request: export the built-in template, add a reviewer or change the loop
bound, validate it, and save it as a profile. "zeroshot this" now reads
as a request for this orchestrator.

Lead quickstart with coding agent prompt (#1273)

Put a pasteable Claude Code / Codex prompt directly after installation
so readers can ask their coding agent to prepare and monitor a local
zeroshot run. The prompt requires a fresh branch, a clean working tree,
and approval of the task and workflow before execution. Label the
existing manual instructions “Run directly from the CLI.”

Clarify hosting and link workflow evidence (#1274)

Clarify that local and self-hosted execution are separate from
model-provider processing, and link the Cloud privacy and retention
details. Link the published review-loop experiment and shared
organization profiles from the README, and clarify that rejected work
returns to the same worker.

Cut filler and merge duplicate research section (#1276)

Trims filler and repetition from the README.

  • Removes the "narrow the gap between open models and closed frontier
    systems" paragraph.
  • Removes "Questions, ideas, or a run worth showing?" and "Prefer
Cloud?". Both repeated links that already appear in the badges, the
Community section and "Run in the cloud".
  • Removes the intro's review-loop link, which "Build your own graph"
    repeats.
  • Rewrites the "Experiment:" label link as a sentence, and replaces
"Also check out: Opcore" with what Opcore does.
  • Cuts filler sentences ("Keep different profiles for different kinds of
work", "the delivery mode that fits your process", "from the product
    page").
  • Renames "Bring your own graph topology" to "Build your own graph".
  • Folds the duplicate "Research graph" section into "Auto-research", and
moves the restart/resume note from the Docker section to the run
    commands.

No commands, flags or install steps changed.

Put the CI line under the headline (#1277)

The README intro now matches the zeroshot.sh hero. "CI, but it starts
before the code is written." sits directly under "Build your own
open-source software factory." The "Turn a task into a reviewed pull
request" sentence is gone, along with the duplicate "Think of it as CI
for coding agents" sentence further down.

State the review-loop experiment result (#1278)

The README line about the review-loop experiment now states its result:
on 20 ProgramBench tasks, a small model in a review loop matched a
larger model's score at a median 58% of its cost. Previously it only
said the test happened.

Drop an overclaim and list Pi in the npm description (#1279)

  • llms.txt no longer says the implementing agent never approves its
own work. The single-worker template has no reviewer, so the claim was
false for it; the same paragraph already says independent agents review
    the result.
  • The npm package description now lists Pi alongside Codex, Claude Code
    and GitHub Copilot.
  • The docs home page now says what auto-research does (ten rounds of
experiments by default; a new result replaces the current one only when
the progress judge accepts it) instead of "measured, reversible research
    against a durable charter".

Align README introduction with the landing hero (#1280)

Align the README opening with zeroshot.sh's current hero, “Stop
babysitting your agents.” Explain coding, independent review and repairs
immediately below it, then retain the existing workflow example and
technical detail.

Maintenance

Bump prettier from 3.9.9 to 3.9.10 in the development-dependencies group (#1266)

Update the development formatter Prettier from 3.9.9 to 3.9.10.
