Installation

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric)
  • Fabric Loader 0.16.14+ and Fabric API
  • Java 25
  • Not Enough Spectators (the plain build — see the warning below)

Steps

  1. Download nes-viabridge-*.jar from Releases.
  2. Put it in your Fabric mods/ folder together with Not Enough Spectators and Fabric API.
  3. Launch a 26.2 Fabric profile.

Only the host needs these mods; spectators join with a vanilla client of their version.

Important: don't double up on Via

This companion boots ViaVersion itself. Do not also run:

  • the embedded-Via build of Not Enough Spectators (use the plain NES build instead), or
  • ViaFabric / ViaFabricPlus / standalone ViaVersion.

Via.init can only run once. Running two Via bootstraps will fail or misbehave; the mod declares those as breaks so the loader will stop the obvious conflicts.
