This is the first public beta release of Clara, a modern, declarative reverse proxy built in Go.

This version provides a solid foundation with a rich set of features designed for simplicity and performance. We're releasing this beta to gather feedback from the community before the first stable release.

✨ Key Features in this Release:

  • Declarative YAML Configuration: Configure everything with a simple, human-readable config.yaml file.
  • Automatic HTTPS: Full Let's Encrypt integration for automatic provisioning and renewal of TLS certificates.
  • Round-Robin Load Balancing: Distribute traffic across multiple backend servers for scalability.
  • Zero-Downtime Hot Reloading: Apply configuration changes without needing to restart the server.
  • Prometheus Metrics: A built-in /metrics endpoint on port 9091 for observability.
  • Built-in Pages: A default welcome page for new installations and a customizable 404 error page.

To get started, download the binary for your operating system below and check out the config.example.yaml file for a complete list of configuration options.

We welcome all feedback and bug reports in the Issues section.
