Title: Immersive Portals 6.0.8 for NeoForge
This is a personal continuation of Immersive Portals ported to NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1, updated with a batch of fixes carried over from the actively maintained Fabric fork.
Fixes in this release:
-
Fixed a crash on startup caused by a missing MixinExtras version declaration in the mixin config.
-
Fixed portals rendering through walls when a shader pack was active. This was caused by a depth buffer format mismatch between the mod and Iris, which is now detected and matched automatically instead of guessed from GPU vendor.
-
Rewrote the Sodium compatibility layer for Sodium 0.8.x. The previous release only worked correctly with the much older Sodium 0.6.13 and would crash on newer versions.
-
Updated Iris compatibility to target 1.8.14 beta 1.
-
Ported several gameplay fixes from the Fabric fork, including smoother teleportation between dimensions, the ability to attack and interact with entities seen through a portal, correct underwater fog rendering through portals, fixed hand rendering while shaders are active, and better compatibility with other mods that modify player collision or entity tracking.
-
Version renamed to 6.0.8 to clearly distinguish this build from the official 6.0.7 release.
Requirements: Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, Sodium 0.8.12 or newer. Iris 1.8.14 beta 1 or newer if you use shaders.
