Elden Ring Archipelago Randomizer v0.1.1
This version has minor fixes (see below), though it is still an unstable alpha. Avoid using it in runs with other people unless they are okay with these kinds of issues coming up.
Changes
- Changed dlc_timing option so the "off" option is now named "mid" and it prevents Pureblood Knight's Medal from being required before Altus Plateau. Note this will break yamls generated with the previous version, which can be fixed by changing off -> mid.
- Prevent runes from showing up in shops.
- Added an option to randomize the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
- Friendlier option defaults and clearer descriptions in yaml.
Fixes
- Fix softlocks where Ainsel River Main and Mohgwyn Palace were incorrectly assumed to be accessible under certain conditions. As a workaround, use a cheat tool to warp to locations in logic.
- Mark DTS and Nameless White Mask drops as missable.
- Increase deathlink cooldown from 10s to 30s to fix double sends.
- Attempt to fix NG+ Trap items not changing enemy scaling without reloading.
- Don't auto-hint remembrance shop items as the client did this regardless of whether they are visible or not.
- Attempt at fixing "badly_placed_prog" error for solo gens.
- Fix randomizer failures when high Great Rune requirements are set.
For credits and other information about this implementation, see initial release notes for v0.1.0.
eldenring.apworld and pre-generated yaml files are included in the zip file.
Elden Ring Archipelago Randomizer v0.1.0
This implementation of Elden Ring Archipelago is based on the apworld principally created by Bedrock to integrate with Elden Ring Item and Enemy Randomizer. A lot of people have contributed to make this possible, but this current iteration of it is driven by Bedrock, Duck, and thefifthmatt.
v0.1.0 is an unstable alpha release. We've tested as much as we could, but issues may arise that may cause runs to be uncompletable. We can try to provide workarounds but there are no guarantees. Do not use it in runs with other people unless they are okay with this.
We are building on the work of Natalie and other fswap (From Software Archipelago) contributors for the DS3 AP implementation and its Rust client, and all of the acknowledgements from its recent releases apply here as well. We would like to fully reconcile this implementation with fswap and other upstream libraries, but this will require some elbow grease especially as not all git history was preserved.
People who worked on this implementation:
apworld: Bedrock, with additional contributions by Jambo, Kholkikos, KyleG, Layka, Legofacebob, MartyredG, and Seb (location descriptions); Yenix and FantaTanked (coding support); and thefifthmatt
Client: Duck and thefifthmatt (current version); FantaTanked (earlier work); Natalie and TVV1GK (DS3 client); noka (insight from DS1 client)
Randomizer: thefifthmatt
Item icons: Mika
And anyone who's contributed ideas or support.
