Turn speech from a call into an agent prompt you can review.
- Choose Desktop audio in Settings → Voice to transcribe audio from Teams or other apps on macOS 13 and later. Microphone dictation remains the default.
- Use the existing hold-or-tap voice shortcut while flock is focused. Transcription runs locally and is inserted into the pane selected when recording starts; review it and press Enter to send.
- See the active audio source in the recording bar, with visible permission and capture errors and steps to recover.
- Keep microphone device selection when switching sources. Prevent overlapping dictations and stop pending capture when its window closes.
Desktop audio captures other apps, including notification sounds, without mixing in your microphone or flock's own audio. It requires macOS Screen & System Audio Recording permission; no screen images are recorded. Switching apps stops dictation, and hands-free capture stops automatically after four minutes.
Known limitations
- Desktop audio currently captures all other apps rather than a single selected app. Continuous meeting transcription and automatic prompt submission are not included.
- Docker workspace isolation has a known Git-configuration escape: repository-controlled Git configuration can execute commands on the host. Do not rely on this boundary for untrusted repositories or agent code.
- The social backend migration and matching presence service rollout remain pending. The client update does not complete that server rollout.
