Release list
Houston v0.14.0
Highlights
Houston v0.14.0 is the first stable release of the app for Windows, with an x86_64 installer for Windows 10 and 11.
- Tasks: keep a global backlog, start agents in isolated worktrees, track acceptance and review, and queue work from an orchestrator. Tasks can be assigned to a workspace or left unassigned.
- Orchestration: children appear in their orchestrator's roster, with recorded results and retry controls. Failed provider turns preserve children, and orchestrators receive a handoff offer after repeated context compactions.
- Worktrees: Houston records agent checkouts and removes eligible worktrees and their build output after their PRs merge.
- Windows terminals: restore colour capabilities and preserve synchronized redraws to reduce flicker in agent panes.
- Windows browser and Tasks: fix blank or unresponsive browser navigation, stale address-bar state, keyboard focus and workspace labels. Browser panes also block access to the application's privileged IPC route.
- Windows orchestration: child agents start in the intended checkout, failed worktree creation is rolled back safely, and exited processes are detected correctly.

Install and sign in to a supported agent CLI separately. Linux requires glibc 2.35 or newer; AppImage also requires the FUSE 2 runtime. Windows ARM64 and macOS installers are not available.
Windows notes
- The Windows installer is not Authenticode-signed, so SmartScreen may show a warning. The attached
.sigfiles are updater signatures, not Windows code-signing certificates. - Finish or save active agent work before updating: the Windows installer stops the old daemon and its sessions; live session migration is not supported on Windows.
- Browser navigation, history and normal reload are supported. Element picking, agent DOM actions and reload without cache remain unsupported on Windows.

Houston v0.10.1
Houston v0.10.1
Houston v0.10.1 is the first public release of Houston: local-first mission control for CLI coding agents.
Houston runs agent CLIs in persistent, real terminal panes. Closing the desktop application detaches the client without stopping active sessions, while local orchestration tools allow agents to create, message and coordinate additional panes.
Highlights
- Persistent workspaces, grids and terminal sessions backed by a detached local daemon.
- Real PTYs with direct keyboard input and terminal rendering.
- Local orchestration for coordinating multiple agent panes.
- Scheduled and on-demand routines with independent models, permissions and working directories.
- Integrated project files, editor, browser panes, SSH connections, reusable skills and provider profiles.
- No Houston account, hosted control plane or telemetry service.
Linux downloads
This release provides official Linux packages for x86_64 and ARM64:
| Architecture | Packages |
|---|---|

The supported baseline is glibc 2.35 or newer. The packages are tested on Ubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 12 and current Fedora. Windows and macOS binaries are not included in this release.
Release artifacts are signed for Houston's updater. Updates are downloaded and installed only after explicit user confirmation.
