Bloom 0.14.0

Bloom helps students and beginners learn programming, developers read unfamiliar or complex code, and people who find visual cues helpful for focus and navigation. Choose Operational, Interfaces, Structural or Dangerous views while keeping your existing editor theme and customizable category colors.

This release introduces neutral geometric branding in gold and purple, refreshed promotional images, organized media folders and clearer audience and usage documentation.

Two bugs are fixed: the highlighting toggle now respects existing folder settings, and unexpected analysis-worker exits settle pending requests instead of leaving them hanging.

Quick install

  1. Download bloom-highlighter-0.14.0.vsix from the assets below.
  2. In desktop VS Code, run Extensions: Install from VSIX… and select the file.
  3. Run Developer: Reload Window, open a code file, then run Bloom: Show Sidebar.

Requires VS Code 1.95 or newer. Full installation guide.

Highlights are lexical reading aids. Function rules may include constructors; Dangerous view supplies review cues rather than security findings. Unsupported languages retain ordinary editor highlighting.

Publisher: theokeist-hcode-org. Marketplace links require a published listing. The downloadable VSIX works independently of a store listing.

Validated locally: 63 automated tests, lint, visually inspected branding images and VSIX asset inclusion. Live VS Code interaction for these changes and Marketplace publication remain unverified.
