Install
- Download and unzip the app, then move Lilt.app into Applications.
- Open it. This release uses a persistent self-signed certificate and is not Apple-notarized. If macOS blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway after attempting to open Lilt.
- Allow Lilt in Screen & System Audio Recording when you first capture.
Kokoro, 28 English voices, and their previews are included. No account, Python setup, or model download is needed for local reading.

- Configurable capture and clipboard shortcuts.
- Voice previews, reading history, automatic cleanup, and text/WAV export.
- Optional AI text filtering with your own provider and key.
- Signed Sparkle updates through Check for Updates… in the app.
OCR and speech stay on your Mac by default. Optional AI filtering sends the selected screenshot to the provider you configure.

Release files
The ZIP contains the application. checksums.txt lists SHA-256 hashes; the CycloneDX SBOM records bundled dependencies. GitHub build provenance is attached to the release artifacts. The corresponding-source archive includes the pinned copyleft components and build instructions. lilt-demo.mp4 is the short demo, whose editable source is in marketing/.
Lilt's original source is MIT-licensed. Bundled components retain their respective licences; see licensing.
