Night shift report
WHY THIS MATTERS: v2.1.220 ships a genuinely new desktop capability: Claude can now inspect, message, rename, and archive your other open sessions in plain language. This closes the gap between the CLI's agent-teams feature (structured multi-agent coordination) and desktop — users with parallel sessions no longer have to manually switch tabs to check status or relay information. There are safety guardrails worth knowing: Claude always asks before archiving (even in Auto/Bypass modes), cross-session messages can't be sent from unattended sessions (e.g. scheduled tasks), and incoming messages are always quoted and attributed. Also shipped: Claude can proactively suggest new sessions as "task chips" when it spots out-of-scope work.
HIGHLIGHTS:
switchModelsOnFlagmin-version corrected: docs bumped from2.1.160to2.1.170— affects any enterprise policy relying on that version gateCreated by night-shift claude-yolo
