Extract 3D models, textures, and shaders directly from any running game or 3D application.
Ninja Ripper hooks into the rendering pipeline of a live game session and captures everything the GPU is being told to draw — meshes, textures, and shaders — exactly as they exist in memory. No file-format reverse engineering, no digging through packed archives. If it's on your screen (and sometimes even behind the camera), you can rip it.
- Universal capture — Works with virtually any 3D game because it operates at the API level, not the file-format level
- Wide API support — DirectX 7 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 / 12, Vulkan, and OpenGL
- Full asset grab — Rips meshes (
.RIP/.nr), textures (.DDS), and shaders in a single keypress - Emulator support — Rip Android games running under Nox, BlueStacks, MuMu, and LDPlayer
- Beyond the camera — Captures geometry submitted for rendering, not just what's visible in frame; combine rips from multiple locations to reconstruct entire maps
- Editor importers included — Import ripped assets directly into Blender, 3ds Max, and Maya with bundled add-ons
- Lightweight & portable — A small, focused launcher: point it at the game's executable, choose a wrapper, hit Run
- Launch Ninja Ripper (run as Administrator).
- Target Exe — browse to the game's executable. Use the x86 build for 32-bit games, x64 for 64-bit.
- Output Directory — choose where ripped files should land.
- Wrapper — pick the injection method matching the game's graphics API (
Intruder Injectis a good first guess; for DX12 games try the D3D11 wrapper). - Click Run — the game launches with the ripper attached.
- In-game, get close to the model you want (this forces high-res textures to load), then press the rip hotkey.
- The game will freeze briefly — that means it's working. Wait for it to unfreeze, then check your output folder for a timestamped
_NinjaRipperdirectory full of.RIP/.nrand.DDSfiles.
Tip: In Settings you can configure separate hotkeys for All (meshes + textures), Textures only, and Forced rip mode with a configurable interval.
Ninja Ripper ships with importers for the tools you already use:
- Blender — install the bundled add-on, then
File > Import > NinjaRipper. Meshes import pre-assembled at their original world positions. Use Merge by Distance to clean up duplicate geometry. - 3ds Max / Maya — dedicated import scripts/plugins included in the
importersfolder. - Noesis — view, preview, and batch-convert
.RIPfiles to.OBJusing the included Noesis plugin.
Textures are exported as .DDS — view and convert them with XnView or IrfanView. Ripped materials typically come in sets of three: base color, specular, and normal/bump map.
- No bones/rigs — animations, skeletons, and skin weights are not saved at this time. Ripped models come in their current in-game pose (often not T-pose).
- Mesh distortion — geometry may appear stretched in some rips; restore it using the projection matrix from the ripper log or by adjusting FOV manually. Use the Flip Geometry option on import if meshes are inverted.
- Virtual textures — some Unreal Engine and RE Engine titles use virtual texturing; these textures must be matched to meshes manually in your 3D editor.
- Antivirus false positives — the injection mechanism trips some AV heuristics; whitelist the tool or temporarily disable protection while ripping.
Nothing ripped
- Delete the leftover
d3dX.dllfrom the game folder and re-run; this is required after any game update or settings change
Logo doesn't appear / PrintScreen not working
- Try the
INSERTkey: press once, wait 10–20 s, press again to stop ripping
Game crashes on rip
- Increase the Forced Rip Interval; try Fullscreen vs. Windowed mode
Ripper not injecting
- Close overlays and capture tools (OBS, Fraps, ShadowPlay, MSI Afterburner, etc.)
Ninja Ripper is a research and preservation tool intended for personal study, game archaeology, modding research, and 3D-art learning. Ripped assets remain the intellectual property of their respective publishers. Do not redistribute extracted content, use it commercially, or upload it to asset stores. Respect EULAs, and be aware that using injection tools in online games may violate anti-cheat policies — rip responsibly, offline, and at your own risk.
