What's New

ZFS Support

  • Auto-detect backing filesystem and storage driver (overlay2 on ZFS 2.2+, sysbox doesn't support ZFS native driver)
  • ZFS-aware destroy: cleans child datasets, preserves mountpoint
  • DOCKYARD_STORAGE_DRIVER env var for manual override (auto, overlay2, zfs)

DinD on ZFS Fix

  • Mask /usr/sbin/zfs inside DinD containers (-v /dev/null:/usr/sbin/zfs) to prevent containerd ZFS snapshotter probe from hanging 10s

RequiresMountsFor

  • Systemd service now includes RequiresMountsFor=${DOCKYARD_ROOT} — ensures service waits for ZFS/NFS/LUKS mounts before starting (no-op on ext4/xfs)

Isolation Rules (isolation.d/)

  • Drop .rules files into ${ETC_DIR}/isolation.d/ to filter intra-bridge traffic
  • Per-instance DOCKYARD-ISO-${PREFIX} iptables chain with automatic lifecycle management
  • Survives reboots, cleaned up on destroy

Test Suite

  • 38/38 tests passing on both ZFS and ext4
