v0.3.3
Flea 0.3.3
- Opening a folder or going back swaps straight to the new listing, with no blank frames in between (requested on X).
- The first window opens with the folder already drawn, not an empty frame.
- Update Flea in Settings, About checks the source Flea was installed from and opens Omarchy's update to install it; once an update is found, the right-click menu offers it too. It checks on its own a minute after launch and every 6 hours; turn that off and Flea makes no update request until you ask.
- Scrollbars that behave like Finder's: hidden until you scroll or point at the edge, and in the theme's colours (#128, @sandmor).
- Paste or drop onto names that already exist and Flea asks once: Replace, Keep both or Skip. Replaced items go to the Trash, so Undo brings them back (requested on X).
- Make Flea the default file manager, for folders, Show in folder and file dialogs, from Settings, About or with
flea --default(requested on X). - Unmounted drives show in Devices, turned on once for existing installs too (requested on X).
- The file chooser has a sortable column header, and s and S sort it (#185, @bandoyer).
- Shift+Delete deletes permanently in every key preset (#182, @tgienger).
- Enter or l on a place in the rail opens it and moves the cursor into it, also for a drive or share that mounts first (#181, @tgienger).
- Releases attach prebuilt binaries for x86_64 and aarch64 and the source tarball with checksums (#158, @akitaonrails).
flea-binon the AUR is now the recommended install, and gets each release minutes after it ships:omarchy pkg aur add flea-bin && flea --default.- Fix video thumbnails and two tests on aarch64 (#187, @tko76).
- Fix the test suite on ext4, on kernels before 6.13 and with the default open-file limit (#180, #184, @felixzsh, @akitaonrails).
- Fix dd pressed while a folder was still opening sending a file of the new folder to the Trash.
- Fix a deep folder holding one open file per level while its size was worked out.
- Fix
flea --gui <folder>ignoring the folder when a dual view was saved. - Fix clicks on an expanded PDF's toolbar also pressing the button under it, which is why the columns view lost its PDF preview at 800 by 480.
- Fix rapid sort presses in the terminal interface leaving the cursor on a neighbouring row.
- The rail fills in one step instead of growing as places and drives are found.
- Folder names in the list view no longer end in a slash (requested on X).
- Document that a drag does not survive a workspace switch (#186, @johnkattenhorn).
Known issues
- Files dropped on Chromium's New Tab Page are refused, while google.com in the same browser accepts them.
Thanks to @sandmor, @tko76, @felixzsh, @akitaonrails, @johnkattenhorn, @bandoyer and @tgienger.
