Munin for Mac — v0.1.2
Fixes a first-run glitch on Apple Intelligence.
Fixed in v0.1.2
- The menu-bar popover no longer falsely shows "Munin isn't running" while your library is building on-device. The health check now uses a lightweight, instant liveness ping instead of the heavier status call, so it stays accurate (and clickable) even when on-device extraction is keeping the machine busy. A genuinely-stopped service still reports correctly.
Signed and notarized. 96 MB. Open the DMG, drag Munin to Applications, click the menu-bar icon.
Munin for Mac — v0.1.1
Turn any AI into your AI — now free, private, and keyless on any Apple-Silicon Mac.
New in v0.1.1
- Apple Intelligence tier (free, on-device). Munin can now prepare and search your files entirely on your Mac using Apple's built-in model — no API key, no account, nothing leaves the machine. Choose it in Providers, or it's the default where available.
- Sharper answers. Retrieval no longer bleeds in unrelated documents, subject questions fall back honestly when a name isn't known yet, and rate-limited questions retry instead of failing.
- Honest progress. Sources show real preparation state ("Ready to search · still learning"), the menu-bar popover navigates and drags, and a plain-language dialog explains what changes when you switch how sources are prepared.
- First-run polish. Click-to-browse file picker, single-chrome embedded Studio, matched typography, and a clearer connect step.
- Under the hood. A firewall filename false-positive fixed, and a hardened on-device bridge (loopback-only, bearer-authed).
Signed and notarized. 96 MB. Open the DMG, drag Munin to Applications, click the menu-bar icon — setup takes about two minutes, entirely on your machine.

Munin for Mac — v0.1.0
Turn any AI into your AI. Munin is a Mac app that builds a private memory from your files and supplies your AI assistant (Claude Desktop, Cursor — anything that speaks MCP) with exactly the right context — protected by a firewall that redacts sensitive values before anything leaves your machine, with receipts showing what was supplied and what was protected.
Install: download the DMG below → open it → drag Munin to Applications → click the Munin glyph in your menu bar. Setup takes about two minutes and happens entirely on your Mac.
Requirements: Apple Silicon Mac. Signed and notarized.

Everything stays local: your files, your memory, the record of what happened. The only egress is to the AI provider you configure, scrubbed by the Context Firewall on the way out.
