Changelog Since July 7, 2026

New Features

  • Resilient video decoding: Playback can automatically fall back to another decoder when the preferred decoder fails, improving compatibility across Android TV devices.
  • Independent FFmpeg controls: FFmpeg decoding can now be configured separately for audio and video in advanced playback settings.
  • Accelerated seeking: Repeated seek presses in the new video player now move progressively faster through a video.
  • Log uploads: Diagnostic logs can now be uploaded directly from Settings, making troubleshooting and support easier.

Improvements

  • Live TV guide: The guide now uses the in-player experience throughout the app, with clearer program details, recording indicators, and timeline updates.
  • Live TV browsing: Channel cards are now consistent across Home and Live TV, with a larger image cache for smoother browsing.
  • Settings: Settings screens use a cleaner, more compact layout that shows more information without sacrificing readability.
  • Playback diagnostics: Stats for Nerds now labels stream and decoder details more clearly, while codec capability reports show more information in a compact format.
  • Media details: Dolby Vision profile information is now shown in the media information row.
  • Decoder compatibility: The custom Media3 decoder was updated to 1.11.0-beta01.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed video playback failures on some Qualcomm hardware decoders by disabling problematic access-unit detection.
  • Fixed playback failing to recover after the TV changes display resolution.
