v1.8.0 - Toggle Switch Fix & MIDI Removal
Toggle Switch Behavior Fix
This release fixes the toggle switch (B8) to work correctly as a latching switch for controlling filter modulation.
What Changed
Fixed:
- Toggle switch now properly reads physical position using
RawState()instead of transition-basedDebounce() - Filter modulation now correctly syncs with the actual toggle position
- Toggle works immediately without needing to flip it OFF then ON
Removed:
- All MIDI debug logging (not used on this hardware)
- DaisyMidi library dependency
- Binary size reduced by ~11KB (135KB → 124KB)
Technical Details
The toggle switch is a physical latching switch with a metal bar that stays in position. The previous implementation used the Switch class Debounce() method designed for momentary buttons, which only detected press/release transitions. This caused the modulation to only enable when the toggle was moved from OFF to ON, not tracking the actual switch position.
The fix uses RawState() to directly read the GPIO state, making filterModulationEnabled properly sync with the toggle's physical position.
Installation
Flash no_such_verb.bin to your Daisy Patch SM using the Daisy Web Programmer or command-line tools.

v1.7.0 - LED and SD Card Settings Fix
🎯 Firmware Release v1.7.0
Fixes
- LED Changes Now Work: CV_OUT_2 LED responds to overdrive toggle button B7
- Settings File Creation: SD card now creates (8 bytes) with persistence
- Enhanced Diagnostics: Clear LED feedback patterns (2 quick = success, 4 slow = SD error)
Root Cause
The SDSettings storage object was placed in AXI SRAM with which caused FatFS mount state corruption due to NOLOAD attribute preventing proper initialization.
Technical Changes
- Removed problematic SRAM section placement from SDSettings
- Moved storage object to regular RAM to preserve mount state
- Added explicit LED state tracking and filesystem remount logic
- Enhanced error diagnostics distinguish different SD failures
LED Feedback Patterns
- 2 quick pulses: Settings saved successfully
- 4 slower pulses: SD card mount error (happens when card removed/reinserted)
- 3 medium pulses: File write failure
- 5 very slow pulses: Filesystem mount failure
Your firmware now reliably handles SD card settings with clear visual diagnostics. Settings persist across reboots and CV_OUT_2 LED provides visual feedback for overdrive state.
Built using STM32H750 toolchain.
