WatchDog v1.2.2 — Hotkey Fix, Session Deletion & Security
WatchDog v1.2.2
Hotkey fixes, session deletion, and security hardening.
How to Install
1. Download
Scroll down to Assets and download WatchDog-Setup.exe.
If you only see "Source code" assets, the automated build is still running — refresh in a few minutes.
2. Run the installer
Double-click WatchDog-Setup.exe. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info > Run anyway.
3. Done
Everything is bundled — no .NET SDK or extra downloads needed.
Portable: Download WatchDog-win-x64.zip instead, extract anywhere, run WatchDog.App.exe.
Upgrading: Run the new installer — it removes the old version automatically. Settings and clips are preserved. If you have v1.2.1, the app will also show an update banner on launch.
Fixes
- Hotkeys now work — F9/F10 registration was silently failing because it ran on the wrong thread. Now dispatched to the UI thread correctly.
- Hotkey recorder fixed — pressing a key in Settings actually saves and displays the new binding (was broken by a direct TextBlock.Text set bypassing the XAML binding)
- Hotkey combos work — Alt+F9, Ctrl+Shift+8, etc. were already supported in code but appeared broken due to the recorder bug above
- Delete clips no longer leaves ghost cards — removed clip disappears immediately from the session view
- Delete entire sessions — right-click any session row > "Delete Session" to remove the session and all its clips
- Path containment — clip deletion now verifies the file is inside the configured save directory before deleting
- Download size cap — auto-update installer downloads capped at 500 MB
- Visible update progress — auto-update now shows installer progress window instead of running fully silent
