Progress tail lifecycle

  • Harden progress tail edit recovery so malformed/stale edits are handled more safely.
  • Finalize the progress tail lifecycle so started, updated, and completed tails are handled consistently.
  • Retire completed progress tails so finished work no longer leaves stale active tail state behind.
  • Tighten runtime cleanup and completion behavior.

Background progress and rendering

  • Add background job progress rendering so detached/long-running work can keep the tail useful.
  • Improve code fence handling in progress output.
